REVERSE 
TAPPING
Since I started playing the guitar, I've always been after new sounds and my own voice on the instrument. 
At the age of 14 years old, unhappy with the limitations I came across using the traditional tapping technique, I had an idea that made me extend sonic possibilities by reversing the position of my hands on the fretboard, I call it "REVERSE TAPPING".

Desde que comecei a tocar guitarra, sempre busquei a minha voz no instrumento. Aos 14 anos de idade, descontente com as limitações que encontrava na tradicional técnica de Tapping, comecei a desenvolver um jeito de expandir essa sonoridade através do que chamo de "REVERSE TAPPING".

is a guitarist based in Los Angeles, California, where he graduated from one of the most famous music schools in the world, Musicians Institute Hollywood.

Since his thirteens, Kalil is sponsored by the companies ESP Guitars and EMG Pickups, becoming one of the main up and coming artists in their roster.

Besides being the lead guitarist in Red Devil Vortex, throughout his career, the artists has played/recorded with artists such as Steve Vai, Tony Macalpine, Stone Sour, Corey Taylor, Marco Minemmann, Edu Falaschi (Ex-Angra), Dirk Verberuen (Megadeth/Soilwork), Kenny Aronoff (Joe Satriani, Chickenfoot).  


You often hear that there are no more guitar heroes. Luis Kalil begs to differ. Having worked with him, I know for a fact that Luis is not only an immensely talented and dedicated guitar player, but also one of the kindest and most humble people I've met in the music business. If I was looking to become a better guitarist, there's no doubt in my mind that I would study with Luis. He's one of the best!
